Short version: the photos are real, the pin is a hash, and $POSTCARD is a memecoin, not an investment.
What POSTCARD is
POSTCARD turns a Solana address into a point on Earth (SHA-256 of the address, read as a uniform point on the sphere) and shows real satellite imagery of that point from public archives. Saving a spot files new satellite passes over it in a mailbox. At launch, postcards may be minted as compressed NFTs.
The pin is not a location
The spot is computed from an address. It is not where anyone lives, works or is. POSTCARD never asks for, stores or infers anyone's location. You don't own, name or control the place your pin lands on; you own the postcard, a picture and a record.
The data
Imagery: contains modified Copernicus Sentinel data (ESA), served by Element84 Earth Search and the Registry of Open Data on AWS; NASA GIBS/EOSDIS (VIIRS, Blue Marble, Black Marble). Places: Natural Earth. Weather: Open-Meteo. These services can be late, wrong or unavailable; POSTCARD shows what they return and says when they don't answer. Cloud cover is the scene's own figure.
The coin
$POSTCARD is a memecoin. It has no promise of value, return or utility beyond what the site does. Don't buy what you can't afford to lose. Not available where it is not legal for you.
No affiliation
Not affiliated with or endorsed by ESA, the European Commission, NASA, NOAA, Element84, Natural Earth or Open-Meteo.
As is
The site is provided as is, without warranties. Signing in signs a plain message, never a transaction.
